The Preliminary Notice for the official clubs AGM has now gone out. Please note the change of venue for next year. Together with the notice is the membership renewal form. Your current membership will expire on the 31st December and it would be appreciated if you could return your form and money by then to the Membership Secretary.
Could I please ask if you have got an e-mail address that this could be clearly added. We would like to work towards contacting as many members as possible via e-mail which would make it much easier and more convenient for our members in future. ... See MoreSee Less

Received a lovely letter from our Patron - Shirley Ellis-Jones this morning. To The Officers and Committee Congratulations to you all for the most excellent show last Saurday. We were so pleased that we could attend, the atmosphere was what it should be, so much so that we hope the be at the next one. Having in the past catered at many shows I appreciate the hard work put in by those in the kitchen to poduce quality meals and thank you for our lunch. It was great meeting up once again with familiar faces and sharing stories of yesteryear. I only hope that this letter of appreciation of all the hard work you all put in makes you realise that the effort was worth while. Give yourselves a big pat on the back. Best wishes for the future. It's the Clubs 80th Anniversary Championship Show this week end and with an entry of 76 dogs making 111 entries over the whole show it is promising to be a good one. Ryan Ross judging the Special Award Classes has an entry of 29 and the remaining 82 being judged by Breed Specialist Derfel Owen I think this must be one of the biggest entries in a long time. I hope you will all join us in a glass of Prosecco to celebrate. A piece of what has become Nessie Love's celebratory cake will be given to you to take home - please collect a piece as you leave. Looking forward to seeing you all and have a safe journey. ... See MoreSee Less
Many newcomers and even those who have been in the club a while do not know the background of Johnny Richardson’s singing career and how the decision was made for the ‘Candleflame’ CD’s in the raffle at the club show. I am one of those people so I thought I would do a bit of delving Before there was ETTs, there was Music. Our JR, John or Johnny, whichever name you prefer, in the years 1972- 1976, was a full time professional lead singer in a Cabaret trio. Based in London, where he was living, The Brothers Love extensively toured London and the Home Counties, appearing in Supper Clubs. They also had residency tours in Paris, Stockholm, Berlin and in Italy and Spain. It was the glam rock era and high platform boots, long hair, heavy eye makeup, satin suits, sequins, feathers and bugle beads were the order of the day. Their act, with intricately choreographed dance moves featured the music of Rodgers & Hart/ Hammerstein, Sondheim, Motown, Lennon/McCartney, popular songs of the day, and from the British and American Songbooks. The group disbanded in 1976 with the upsurge of Disco. Producer, Paul Macey has pulled together songs from JR's previous album to create this one off project with ONLY 5 copies available to us to celebrate 80 years of the ETT club's existence. If you won't be at the show but wish to be in the raffle, message me please, and I'll allocate you a ticket. Here's a teaser of what's on the album. 18 tracks, including, The Impossible Dream, I'm The Urban Spaceman, if We Hold On Together, A House Is Not A Home, Somewhere, National Express, I'd Rather Leave While I'm In love etc. Johnny says, 'please buy a ticket to assist Club funds, all proceeds from this raffle will go towards the smooth running of the club and shows and ETT welfare. I am even sneakily going to print one of his album covers. ... See MoreSee Less

All monies raised from these events go towards the smooth running of the club and shows. ... See MoreSee Less

Entries for the club show have now closed. Hope everyone is looking forward to it. Could I please once again ask you to bring a raffle prize. We had a brilliant raffle last year and it would be lovely to do the same this year. As is usual at the shows we usually have another form of fundraising (remember Johnnie's shirt reveal). This year we have gone for something different in the form of a second raffle to run alongside the normal raffle. Tickets for this raffle will cost £5 per ticket and we will have 4 prizes and every prize is the same. Johnny has come to the rescue again and donated 4 CD's with a compilation of his songs (yes he sings as well). We have decided to call the CD 'Candleflame' Anyone attending the show will be able to buy a ticket there but if you would like a chance to win one you can buy a raffle ticket on line. Just message me. All raffle tickets sold will go together with the ones sold on the day. As you can see it has been specially dedicated to 80 years of the club. A sample of some of the songs A house is not a home, I'm the urban Spaceman, Getting ready for love In the winter, The beginning of the end , I'd rather leave while I'm in love, Learn to say goodbye. ...
