The English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan) Club kicked off its 80th anniversary celebrations in style on March 10th at Crufts.
The origins of the Club can be traced back to a formative meeting of breed enthusiasts in and around the bench areas at Crufts in 1938. So Crufts 2018 seemed a very fitting place to start our celebrations. The Club provided bubbles, nibbles and cake for all exhibitors and members on the day. The Club Chair, Jan Fiers opened proceedings following breed judging by offering her congratulations to the winners and a toast to the Club.
The wonderful cake you can see in the pictures was provided by one of our talented members Nessie Love.
The Kennel Club were delighted we chose Crufts 2018 to celebrate 80 years of breed stewardship and Kennel Club Board Director Tom Mather did us the honour of cutting the cake. We had many members/exhibitors join in the celebrations, and not just from the UK some from as far afield as Germany & Finland.
Many corks were popped with plenty of cake and nibbles devoured. An excellent time was had by all. On behalf of the Club Committee we would like to thank Nessie for the cake and Club Media Sub- Committee for making the day a great success.
