We are the English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan) Club

The Official Club recognised by the Kennel Club est. 1938.

The club runs Kennel Club Licensed Open and Championship dog shows, social events and seminars. The club magazine “Thumbprints” is published annually and distributed to all members. Our members attend Discover Dogs and other events to promote the ETT by sharing information about this very special breed.

The club promotes and supports health testing, responsible breeding and ownership.

The objectives of the English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan) Club are:

  1. To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed.
  2. To promote the responsible ownership of the breed.
  3. To encourage the breeding of sound, typical and healthy dogs of good temperament, in accordance with The Kennel Club Breed Standard
  4. To encourage and support the exhibition and judging of dogs in accordance with the recognized Kennel Club Breed Standard.

So, who are your committee?

The English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan) Club is looked after by a committee of breed experts and enthusiasts. They meet several times per year to discuss current issues, organise club events and work tirelessly to secure the bright future of this very special breed.

As most of you know Steve Inch, after the total success of producing a wonderful calendar has followed up with some Christmas Cards.Steve has given his time for the benefit of all Black & Tan lovers with no renumeration for himself.. Thats dedication for you. On behalf of everyone can I say a big thank you Steve. A message from Steve is printed below.
Wow. The full print run of ETT Xmas cards are now either sold or reserved. Thanks to everyone who ordered them. The final set are due back from the printers next Thursday and I will be posting out shortly after that. I will be contacting everyone who ordered to confirm the payment and delivery arrangements. And a 2018 ETT calendar update - 97 of the 100 printed are now sold or reserved. If anyone wants one of the last 3 copies let me know before they go. £10.50 if posted out, £8 if delivered at a show.

Pleased to report that the Breed Seminar and Judging Assessment run by the Official English Toy Terrier Club was a great success. Everything ran smoothly and some lovely comments from the delegates. It was a great day Pat, I really enjoyed it! Very informative and nice to get the opportunity with some hands on experience with other ETTs. Lunch was delicious, and is keeping us going on the long road back to Scotland!

Remember 21st and 22nd October is Discover Dogs. The Official English Toy Terrier Club have supported this event for many years now and has even won the top award at Crufts for Best Booth. This is an event which supports the pet owner as well as the show fraternity. If anyone is free on the Sunday afternoon I am sure Kim Ross could find you a spot.
